Do I need a prescription?

Yes. Medication in the Contingency Medical Kit are prescription medication. No need to worry - after your purchase is complete you will be provided a link (that will also be emailed to you) so you can receive your medical intake form that is needed to complete your consultation.

Based on your medical details, some medications may not be prescribed. An equivalent substitute will be included in the kit if available.

 

Is my Medical Kit Covered By Insurance?

No. Contingency Health does not accept any type of Health Insurance. or HSA ( Health Savings Account) .

 

How will I receive my Virtual Care Consultation?

After completing you purchase you will receive a link via email from Contingency Health. Once you complete the simple purchase validation process you will begin your medical intake questionnaire. YOU  MUST complete the questionnaire form so a medical provider can review and determine the suitability of the prescriptions in your kit, they will then send the prescription for filling. In case the medical provider need additional information they will schedule a phone call or virtual medical follow up with you.

How long will my kit last?

The FDA requires pharmacies to label prescription medications with an expiration date, which can be found on the prescription included in your kit. While the duration of the expiration date can vary depending on the medication and formulation, most medications, including antibiotics, commonly have a shelf life of around 2 years. To optimize the shelf life of medications, it is generally recommended to store them in air-tight containers in a cool and dry environment. However, it is important to note that storage requirements can vary for different medications, so it is advisable to consult with your healthcare professional regarding proper storage conditions.

How will I know what medication to use? 

Contingency Medical Kits are created so that you have access to medications, when you need them. The field guide you will receive provides a guide that explains the uses of each medication in your kit. The field guide is a reference guide NOT MEDICAL ADVISE. The medications are intended to be used under provider supervision. Should you feel sick, you can contact one of our providers for a follow up appointment for diagnoses and treatment.
